Hansford Johnson To Replace Livingstone As Acting Navy Secretary

The Pentagon is expected to announce today that Hansford Johnson, assistant secretary of the Navy for installations and environment, will be the new acting Navy secretary, replacing Susan Livingstone just weeks after she assumed that role. Livingstone, the Navy under secretary, automatically became acting Navy secretary Jan. 24, when Gordon England resigned as Navy secretary to start work at the new Department of Homeland Security.
