Huntington Ingalls Industries responded to the Navy's request for proposals this week on analyzing potential cost savings of a two-aircraft-carrier buy, according to the company's chief executive. Mike Petters, the company's chief executive, told investors today he is most concerned about the aircraft carrier supply chain that includes over 5,000 suppliers throughout the country.
