House Appropriators Cut $50 Million from EFV Program

Citing doubts about the future of the Marine Corps' Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle program, House appropriators have proposed cutting $50 million from the Pentagon's $293.5 million fiscal year 2010 request for the effort. The EFV, made by General Dynamics, is an armored and tracked amphibious vehicle designed to carry Marines from forward-deployed naval ships to foreign shores.
