House Panel Recommends F-22A Buy in FY-09 Authorization Mark-Up

The House Armed Services air and land forces subcommittee today recommended that $523 million be set aside in the fiscal year 2009 defense authorization bill for the advance procurement of 20 F-22A Raptors. "The subcommittee's position is to provide the money for advance procurement," a congressional aide said before the panel marked up the draft legislation.
