House, Senate Conferees Approve KEDO Money

House and Senate conferees have approved President Clinton's $55 million fiscal year 2001 request for the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization, which buys and ships heavy fuel to North Korea. The money is contingent on a set of conditions the conferees have written that cover North Korea's nuclear weapons development program, among other issues.
