DEARBORN, MI -- An urgent, operational need statement for a "lite" Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle has been approved, spawning the preparation of a request for proposals that will upgrade the fledgling initiative from a market survey to an actual acquisition effort, according to a top MRAP official.
