KC-X Hopefuls Must Include LAIRCM Systems In Tanker Bids, New Amendment States

Boeing and EADS must include the procurement of a Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures system in their bids for the Air Force's much-desired KC-X next-generation tanker competition, according to the latest amendment to the request for proposals. The latest changes to the "Statement of Objectives" section of the RFP were posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website this afternoon.
