Kratos awarded $93 million contract for Army target drones

The Army has contracted with Kratos to develop 70 to 80 high-speed aerial targets over a five-year period, according to a company official. Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems -- formerly Composite Engineering -- will deliver the drones with ground support, including launchers and spares. The Defense Department announced the contract on Dec. 28.
