Krieg Nomination to Top Defense Acquisition Post Back on Track

Kenneth Krieg's bid to be the Pentagon's new acquisition executive is back on track after the Senate Armed Services Committee favorably recommended his nomination yesterday to the full Senate. Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), a member of the defense authorization panel, lifted the hold had he placed on Krieg's nomination to be under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics in light of the Pentagon's recent decision to roll back plans to terminate the C-130J aircraft program.
