L-3 Protests Award of Logistics Support Contract Worth Up to $5 Billion

L-3 Communications has filed a protest of a U.S. Special Operations Command logistics support contract worth up to $5 billion that was awarded to Lockheed Martin in early March. L-3 holds the current contract for the Joint Operations Group effort. A company spokeswoman confirmed the protest today but declined to comment any further. Lockheed's Information Systems & Global Services division, Gaithersburg, MD, won the potential $5 billion indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract on March 3.
