Language Programs, Special Ops, UAVs Highlight DOD's $439.3 Billion FY-07 Budget

The Bush administration has sent Congress a $439.3 billion defense budget for fiscal year 2007 that makes large investments in defense language programs, special operations forces and unmanned air vehicles, which the White House believes are key to waging war against terrorists around the world. The Pentagon's budget also supports continued buys of multimillion dollar platforms like the Air Force's F-22A tactical fighter, one nuclear submarine, two new Navy destroyers and the further development of a national missile defense system...
