Lawmaker seeks to undo cuts slated for major Army network program

Rep. Joe Kennedy (D-MA) has asked the House Appropriations defense subcommittee to increase funding for the Army's Warfighter Information Network-Tactical, which is in line for cuts under service plans for fiscal year 2017. The lawmaker, who does not have a seat on the panel, used the committee's annual "members day" on March 15 to make his pitch.
