Lawmakers call for more detailed five-year shipyard improvement plan

House lawmakers today called on the Navy to provide an in-depth, shorter-term plan for its shipyard improvement work. The Navy is working on a 20-year, $21 billion Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Plan , which has faced criticism from Congress for its length.
