Lawmakers Receive Army's $130 Billion FY-08 Budget Request

President Bush asked lawmakers today to provide the Army with $130 billion in fiscal year 2008, according to service officials and budget documents. The request includes funds to permanently grow the force and zeros out funding for the Land Warrior, Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II and Army Tactical Missile System programs.
