Lawmakers recommend authorizing $500 million for future LPD-17 Flight II procurement

House and Senate authorizers have approved an additional $500 million to procure future San Antonio-class (LPD-17) Flight II amphibious ships, according to the fiscal year 2019 defense policy bill conference report . San Antonio-class Flight II, which was previously called LX(R), is the Navy's dock landing ship replacement.
