Lawmakers seek details on Army unmanned aircraft plans

A key House panel is seeking information from the Army on its plans to boost capacity in unmanned aircraft systems. In its draft mark-up of the fiscal year 2017 defense policy bill, the House Armed Services tactical air and land subcommittee directs the Army secretary to submit a report to the full committee by Oct. 1, 2016, addressing key concerns in the realm of aerial drones.
