Lawmakers Slam Army for Missing Inventory

A group of Senate and House Democrats yesterday criticized the Army for losing track of almost $900 million worth of equipment. Sens. Tom Harkin (D-IA) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) along with Reps. Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) released a General Accounting Office report that found the Army needs to strengthen and follow procedures to control shipped items.
