Leader Radio RFP nearing release

The Army intends to issue a final request for proposals for the Leader Radio, a two-channel handheld poised to supplant the Rifleman radio, within the next few weeks. The move represents a schedule slip for the radio, which the Army previously indicated would see an RFP release in May, with an award in September.
