Lewis: DOD Likely To Need 2004 Supplemental For Iraq Costs

The chairman of House Appropriations defense subcommittee today said the Defense Department likely will need another supplemental spending bill to cover the costs of operations in Iraq, but he believes it will apply to fiscal year 2004, not 2003. The House Appropriations Committee today approved the subcommittee's $368.7 billion defense bill for FY-04.
