Littoral Combat Ship program office wants DARPA's 'Sea Hunter'

The program executive office for Littoral Combat Ships has submitted paperwork for eventually transitioning the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's "Sea Hunter" unmanned surface vessel to the PEO, according to a program official. The Sea Hunter vehicle is already planned for transition from DARPA to the Office of Naval Research next year, officials said at a conference hosted by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International in Arlington, VA, last week.
