Lockheed Awarded $734.5 Million C-130J Deal

The Pentagon has awarded Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. a $734.5 million contract for 12 C-130J aircraft. The contract, awarded Dec. 22 and announced yesterday, covers one C-130J and two C-130J-30s for the Air National Guard, three KC-130Js for the Marine Corps, and six C-130Js for the Coast Guard. Work on the firm-fixed-price contract is expected to be completed in December 2006. The Air Force's Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH, is the contracting activity.
