Lockheed Martin Says Bulk of Earnings Will Come in Second Half of 2000

The nation's second-largest defense contractor expects the bulk of its earnings for calendar year 2000 to take place later on this year. "Due to the timing of space launches, aircraft deliveries and investment in new products such as (the) Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV), 2000 earnings and cash generation are expected to be heavily weighted towards the second half of the year," Lockheed Martin said today in its quarterly earnings announcement.
