Lockheed Successfully Flies Second JSF Demonstrator

Lockheed Martin took to the air with its second Joint Strike Fighter concept demonstrator Saturday, Dec. 16, flying a 27-minute trip from the company's Palmdale, CA, facility to Edwards AFB, CA. The Lockheed X-35C is designed to demonstrate Navy carrier version requirements, notably the service need that the aircraft demonstrate low-speed carrier approach handling properties.
