Lockheed Wins Potential $4.6 Billion Missile Defense Targets Contract

Lockheed Martin will be the prime contractor for all future Missile Defense Agency targets and countermeasures, the Defense Department announced today. The company was awarded a contract worth up to $4.6 billion over 10 years. Lockheed was awarded an initial $210 million for target system engineering, design and management, according to the DOD statement. The work is scheduled to be completed by December 2007.
