Mabus Tells Senate Panel He Plans to Review Navy's Acquisition Work Force

Ray Mabus, President Obama's nominee for Navy secretary, told lawmakers this morning that, if confirmed, he plans to review the department's acquisition work force. "The acquisition work force has been reduced to the point that it impedes the department's ability to provide adequate management and oversight of the acquisition process," Mabus wrote in response to written questions from the Senate Armed Services Committee.
