Marine Corps' New Energy Initiatives To Be Fully Funded By 2013

The Marine Corps' new energy strategy will begin implementation this year and will be fully funded by fiscal year 2013, according to the strategy released this morning. The strategy, developed by the Marine Corps Expeditionary Energy Office, lays out eight broad goals: from increasing the efficiency of weapons systems, platforms, vehicles, and equipment by 50 percent in 2025 to reducing water consumption by 2 percent each year through 2020.
