Marine Corps takes steps toward terminating AAV survivability upgrade effort

The Marine Corps has issued a stop-work order to Science Applications International Corp. for the Assault Amphibious Vehicle survivability upgrade in the service's first step toward terminating the program's upgrade. Marine Corps spokesman Manny Pachecho told Inside the Navy the service is divesting itself from the upgrade and the Amphibious Combat Vehicle will ultimately replace the AAV.
