Marines Continue To Develop Cargo UAS Requirements After K-MAX Deployment

The Marine Corps is developing requirements for a future cargo unmanned aerial system platform following the deployment of the K-MAX system in Afghanistan, according to a Navy official. Capt. Patrick Smith, multimission tactical UAS program manager, told reporters July 24 during a teleconference the service is looking through recommendations on requirements for a cargo UAS after the Lockheed Martin/Kaman-built K-MAX demonstration in Afghanistan.
