Marines Estimate Next-Generation Amphibious Vehicle Will Cost $5 Million Per Copy

The Marine Corps is estimating its next-generation amphibious vehicle will cost about $5 million a copy, $10 million less than projected for a previous amphibious vehicle design, according to a top service official. Lt. Gen. Kenneth Glueck, deputy commandant for combat development and integration, told defense reporters on June 26 the cost estimate was based on analysis conducted by the service's program and resources office.
