Marines Suspend Anthrax Shots For Operating Forces

The Marine Corps yesterday suspended further Anthrax immunizations of its operating forces due to dwindling supplies of federally approved doses of the vaccine. Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James Jones said only "special mission units" and Anthrax vaccine research personnel will get the inoculations until supplies increase.
