Mattis orders reviews of PAR, F-35 to inform near-term budget decisions

Defense Secretary James Mattis has ordered reviews of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and Presidential Aircraft Recapitalization programs -- two significant Air Force development efforts targeted for "out-of-control costs" by President Trump. The reviews will inform "upcoming budget decisions," Mattis stated in a pair of Jan. 26 memos released Friday by Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis.
