Mattis Vows to Close Irregular Warfare Training, Doctrine Gaps

March 25, 2009 -- U.S. Joint Forces Commander Gen. James Mattis today released his vision statement for irregular warfare, vowing to close what he called "apparent" gaps in doctrine, education, training and "integrated capability."
