McDonnell Douglas Awarded $62.7 Million to Cover Merger-Related Rate Changes

McDonnell Douglas has been awarded a $62.1 million C-17 program contract to cover rate changes resulting from the company's merger with Boeing, the Defense Department announced today. "This adjustment incorporates a partial settlement and payment of (fiscal year 1999 and FY-00) impacts resulting from rate changes in areas such as overhead expenses, general and administrative expenses, including corporate allocations, and direct labor rates," the announcement states.
