MDA Looks For Single Targets, Countermeasures Prime Contractor

The Missile Defense Agency announced today it would award a contract next May to a single, prime contractor for new targets and countermeasures used in future missile defense tests, a change from the current arrangement of relying on several contractors. The agency also wants to cut the 18 to 24 months it now takes to build and ready targets for launch.
