NAVAIR Adjusting To How Workforce Will Handle Civilian Furloughs

Naval Air Systems Command is spending the first two weeks of June developing plans for how it will handle operations during the Defense Department's civilian furlough period, according to a NAVAIR official. On May 14, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced that DOD civilian employees would be furloughed 11 days starting July 18.
