Navy completes 'structural test firing' of Hellfire missile from LCS

The Navy test fired its surface-to-surface missile module from a Littoral Combat Ship for the first time last week, the service has announced. The Navy conducted a "structural test firing" of the missiles from the LCS Detroit (LCS-7) on Feb. 28 off the coast of Norfolk, VA, according to a March 7 Naval Sea Systems Command statement.
