Navy Creates 'Acquisition Workforce' Position

The Navy's acting acquisition czar, John Thackrah, is creating a new position in his office to oversee acquisition workforce programs. James Thomsen will be named "principal civilian deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for acquisition workforce," according to a statement released today. Thomsen currently serves as program executive officer for littoral and mine warfare for the Navy.
