Navy To Establish Ground Combat Units, River Force For Terror War

The Navy is establishing a bundle of new capabilities in a bid to recalibrate part of the fleet to better support ground operations in the global war on terrorism. The new capabilities include new units to operate on rivers, others to fight on land as well as new career tracks for foreign area specialists. Chief of Naval Operations Adm.
