Navy Exercises $55 Million Option On Lockheed Aegis Contract

The Navy has notified Lockheed Martin Electronics and Surveillance Systems of Moorestown, NJ, that it is exercising a $55 million option on an existing contract for the installation, integration and testing of four Aegis weapon systems, the company announced today. The current Lockheed contract covers Aegis ships DDG 85 to DDG 88. With the option, the total value of the contract now rises to $96.7 million.
