Navy exploring high-powered laser for Arleigh Burke-class destroyer

The Navy is planning to install a 150-kilowatt laser aboard one of its Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, the next step in demonstrating directed-energy technology after the service deployed a lower-power system on an amphibious assault ship.
