Navy, Marine Corps Seek $127.3 Billion in FY-07

The Pentagon's fiscal year 2007 budget request seeks $127.3 billion for the Navy Department, including $16.8 billion for the Marine Corps, according to budget documents released today. Compared to the FY-06 budget enacted by Congress, the proposed plan would increase the department's budget by $4.9 billion ($4.1 billion for the Navy and $800 million for the Marine Corps).
