Navy, OSD set aside different amounts for LCS in FY-19 budget request

The Navy has budgeted for one Littoral Combat Ship in the fiscal year 2019 budget, generating consternation that the construction plan may be detrimental to the shipbuilding industrial base. The Office of the Secretary Defense's estimation includes the ship cost, associated infrastructure and other items, while the Navy's budget breakdown in FY-19 features only ship cost.
