Navy releases RFP for Large Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle

The Navy has released a request for proposals for design, development and fabrication of the Large Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle. The LDUUV, also known as Snakehead , is a "long-endurance, multimission UUV, deployed from submarine large open interfaces, with the capability to deploy reconfigurable payloads," the service said in a Dec. 23 press release.
