Navy seeks offers for design, construction of towing, salvage, rescue ships

Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking offers from shipyards to design and construct up to eight tow, salvage and rescue ships, according to a recent solicitation. The command released a formal request for proposals for the tow, salvage and rescue ships program, referred to as T-ATS(X), on March 31. The document states that proposals are due by May 31.
