Navy simulates Pacific typhoon in climate war game

The Navy conducted a tabletop exercise in a fictionalized area of the Western Pacific to simulate the impact of climate change on its operations. The exercise was set in October 2030 and a Navy-Marine Corps team had to conduct an amphibious exercise on an island nation in the area, according to Meredith Berger, the Navy’s assistant secretary for energy, installations and environment.
