Navy: Vehicle For Remote Minehunting System Suffers Cost Breach

The vehicle portion of the Navy's Remote Minehunting System, the Remote Multi-Mission Vehicle, has breached a congressionally mandated cost threshold, the sea service said today. The Navy attributes the Nunn-McCurdy breach to the elimination of the system from the nascent anti-submarine warfare mission package for the Littoral Combat Ship, halving the planned buy of the systems from 108 to 54.
