Navy's MUOS to see communication terminals increase in 2018, 2019

The Navy plans to increase man-portable and vehicle-based platform terminals beginning in 2018 and 2019 for its Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), according to documents viewed by Inside the Navy. Follow-on test and evaluation will begin in June 2019, and terminal integration for shipboard, submarine and aviation assets will begin in early 2020, according to a November letter and report sent to the Senate Armed Services Committee and signed by Allison Stiller, who was performing the duties of the acquisition...
