New Army Study Seeking Optimal Mix of Sensor Platforms

The Army Science Board has begun a new study looking for the optimal mix of communications and sensing capabilities troops will need to win future conflicts, according to a recent terms-of-reference document describing the effort. Dean Popps, the acting Army assistant secretary for acquisition, logistics and technology, asked ASB Chairman Frank Akers to begin work on the study in a March 28 letter.
