New Contingency Contracting Office to Start Work by Year's End

A new Pentagon organization charged with overseeing military contracting during overseas operations is slated to begin its work by the end of the year, according to a new Defense Department report. Defense leaders recently approved the establishment of a so-called Joint Contingency Contract Support office, and officials will begin filling its ranks by the end of this fiscal year, the document states.
