New directive asserts DOD role in reviewing mergers and acquisitions

A new Pentagon directive, issued last month, reasserts the Defense Department's role in reviewing mergers and acquisitions involving major defense suppliers. The directive, which was approved by Deputy Defense Secretary Bob Work and issued Feb. 27, follows a public discussion of the Pentagon's part in assessing large transactions.
